Campaigns
So by now you must be asking yourselves, where are the games? What can I get involved in?
As we take on more members, more games will be available in your area (or it may even start with you!), so be patient. At the moment, we are coordinating players of Risk, Civilization, and Settlers of Catan. Online networking will soon be available through the website for players who want to connect and play Civilization.
Take a look below at a short description of each of these games.

Risk
This classic strategic board game was first released in 1957 as La Conquête du Monde, or "The Conquest of the World", which basically sums up the whole game. The standard version of the game is played by 2-6 players on a political map of the Earth, which is divided into forty-two territories on six continents. The original version of the game calls for total global domination, or to occupy every territory on the board and in doing so, eliminating all other players.
Wikipedia has a complete run-down of the history and rules, though the fastest way to learn is to play with friends.

Risk: Legacy
In 2010-2011, Hasbro released a new version of the Risk called Risk: Legacy. The map is familiar in its layout, though the rules are markedly different from vanilla Risk and the games tend to be much faster.
The setting is a new Earth in 2128 with 5 distinct playable factions. Players sign the board before starting, acknowledging that what they are about to do is by their own hand. It has no bearing on the game, but it does give a certain chill as you realize that your actions will affect your world.
Which is the whole point of the game, actually. As you play, cards will be revealed and cards will be destroyed, some powers applied to each of the factions as other power-ups are discarded. Burn them, tear them up, you won't be using them. Stickers and pens will mark your world as consecutive games go by, making each board its own distinct battlefield.
The first 15 games will shape your world, and your actions in previous games will carry over into subsequent wars. Strategies will change from game to game, so don't expect the same tricks to work more than once.
